I’ve been using Spotify for a while, and really like the service, however I a surprised at the lack of social features. This MOG service s new to me but it looks interesting for the playlist sharing alone.

One big advantage of being away from wordpress for the last 6 months is that there have been so many changes. I’m trying out the new Blackberry client which seems great. I’ll let you know how I get on. Its still in beta but seems pretty slick so far.

4iP Rocks on.

November 9, 2009 Craig Dwyer Leave a comment

Its great to see the 4iP team making some investments as each one help to bring the vision to life. I’ve often thought there is so much talent locked up in the UK creative industry thats bursting to find new routes to market. With the work of 4iP I think we are really going to see some real breakthroughs, My favorites so far have been Audio Boo and Scores, oh and the newspaper club. Its going to be a fun 2010.

Spinvox Wishing Well Promotion

Spinvox - The voice to text serviceĀ  has built an amazing piece of street art and promotion, tech meets art in a very clever way – I really want to go to see this in Covent Garden. Think I’ll go with the Gang week before Xmas. Might be nice if they could build a social element to it somehow.

I could see brands using this approach / model for promotion at trade shows or corporate offices.

For a while C4 in the UK have been doing some very interesting work in the Education space, commisioning some projects that use creative new ways to reach their audience. We are starting to see more of the ideas coming online and I think this is an indicator of a much largrer trend in the industry going forward.

Bow St Runner just won an interactive BAFTA for the site.

Amazon Web Services train keeps rolling

November 19, 2008 Craig Dwyer Leave a comment

Amazon has just announced a CDN in the AWS family:

“Amazon CloudFront, a new web service for content delivery. With CloudFront, you can distribute content using a worldwide network of edge locations that provide low latency and high data transfer speeds.”

Its an interesting and needed development – and a great additional building block in the rich media development toolbox.
